Obituary: Steven McSwain Wix, 50, of Fletcher passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his home. Steven was born August 25, 1959, and was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He graduated from Enka High School in 1977, and was a previous employee of Eaton Corp. and was most recently employed by Wilson Art. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and Andy Griffith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Alga Wix; step-mother, Wilma Wix; and brother, Michael Wix. He leaves behind his beloved dogs, Radar, and Harry; best friends, Sandra Luther and Phil Sorrells; and many friends to cherish his memory. A memorial service will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church on Sunday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Bill Higgins officiating.
